The deal closed: Audible is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon. Congrats to all.
Steve Jobs says, “No Flash for the iPhone.” Adobe would develop it, if they could, but claims they need lower level hooks into the OS and help from Apple to do it. Perhaps as part of Apple’s ActiveSync License they’ll allow Microsoft’s Silverlight instead? Hmmm.
Is the iPhone Apple’s proverbial Trojan Horse for getting into Enterprises?
Google reports that it’s seeing growth in mobile internet usage on several platforms - most notably the iPhone. When Android handsets are released, what kind of usage will they see then?
Rich Miner, a Google exec, says that Android will outsell the iPhone.
Rumors have Apple starting a music subscription service - one that may be subsidized (READ: Free) for iPod and iPhone owners. The CEO of eMusic calls it a “classic anti-trust” case of “tying.”
